Be warned, this will deliver firm positive shifts you will feel, along with easily chirping the tires when shifting somewhat aggressively. This setting is recommend for high performance street/strip use, or for competitive events when you want the hardest, quickest shifts possible from a shift improver kit. Note: Does not fit GM TH350C with lock-up. Use part# 30235 for TH350C transmissions.

The Ford 6R140 transmission varies line pressure between 70 and 170 psi. This works well for stock trucks but for heavy duty use and higher horsepower applications this may be insufficient. BD's PressureLoc for the 6R140 is a solenoid replacement that overrides the transmission line pressure to maximize output enabling the transmission to handle higher horsepower. The BD PressureLoc will allow the transmission to produce 250-300psi, substantially increasing clutch holding power which prevents clutch slippage and premature clutch failure.

ProTect68 Transmission Pressure Control kit delivers 150% of the torque holding force to stock transmissions like no others can. Industry leading custom bonded gasket valve body separator plate and gaskets substantially reduces cross leaks compared to stock and other aftermarket kits, even with much higher line pressures. Heavy duty accumulator plate to prevent accumulator blow-out. Electronic Pressure Control module that delivers up to 250 PSI clutch apply pressure providing 150% of the holding force prevents clutch slippage. All of this without modifying the transmission pump or removing the transmission. Controller dynamically adjusts the hydraulic apply pressures based on turbo boost/engine load. No tuning required. Allison transmissions utilize variable line pressure that adjusts to different engine load to improve fuel economy. The problem with this is that it drops line pressure after a shift, causing clutch slippage and failure in higher powered trucks. The BD pressure controller module boosts line pressure up to 275psi when the engine is over 15psi boost and runs stock pressure under normal conditions prevent harsh shifting. The kit is fully plug-and-play. It plugs into factory connectors and requires no special setup.
